Current Renovations: Room renovations and addition of 2-Story Rooftop Terrace Suites (9/1/2015 - 11/5/2015):
Room Renovations
Excellence Riviera Cancun is undergoing its final phase of room renovations, completing the refurbishment and new décor of all suites within the spa/pool view section.
While a vast majority of work will take place within the rooms, Excellence is confident that the experience of guests will not be compromised or affected. The hotel expects the normal levels of noise, presence of workers, and overall visual disturbances the same as what took place during the previous renovation phases, which were identical in terms of what was done within the rooms. This includes but is not limited to upgrades and changes in decor such as paint, curtains, furniture pieces, lamps, doors in bathroom, new shelves for luggage, and an enhanced lounge bed on the terrace to replace current lounge chair.
There is no work involving other areas or suites pertaining to the Excellence Club sections as those areas were completed in the previous phases of renovations. However, The Excellence Club sections are in relative close proximity to the buildings where renovation work is taking place. While it is uncertain to determine the amount of noise or visual elements that could be present, it should not be excessive.
Two-Story Roof-Top Terrace Suites
Excellence Riviera Cancun is adding 26 Two-Story Rooftop Terrace Suites. These suites will offer views to the Caribbean and the comfort and privacy that only a furnished roof-top terrace with plunge pool by Excellence can provide.
The buildings under renovation to adapt suites into Two-Story Rooftop Terrace Suites will require a more thorough process as the stairs inside the room need to be put in place.
